Priest Hosni Wasef, the manager of the Samaritan Museum, participated as a guest of honor in a ceremony organized by the Sanabel Center for Studies and Popular Heritage to honor the Cultural Personality of Sanabel for the year 2024-2025, in the city of Hebron. The event featured a select group of intellectuals, writers, and poets, at the invitation of Dr. Idris Jaradat, the center’s director.
In his speech during the ceremony, Priest Hosni emphasized that science and knowledge are fundamental pillars for the renaissance of nations and the advancement of peoples. He highlighted the importance of studies and research in generating new knowledge that contributes to the development of human societies and provides a vision for the future.
Priest Hosni also pointed out the role of the Samaritan Museum, located atop Mount Gerizim, in preserving heritage and introducing the Samaritan religion, history, and its ancient civilization. He called on writers, authors, and intellectuals to collaborate and dedicate their efforts to documenting and preserving heritage, as it plays a vital role in enhancing cultural understanding and building bridges of communication between peoples.
